What people praise
The Boothe service technician was great! He answered all of our questions regarding our HVAC system and how it works and how it should work. He also had some suggestions for us that could save us a lot of money such as getting a SMECO energy audit to see where any leaks or insulation failures may be in our house. He seemed really knowledgeable. We felt comfortable entering into a maintenance service agreement with the organization.
I had Boothe come out to my home to clear a clogged kitchen sink and Utility sink and laundry room. Rodney came very professional with great knowledge on all plumbing. He works fast on getting the job done. He’s very neat doing a very messy job. He got my sinks unclogged and made a suggestion to have one of there drain specialist to come out and put a camera inside our pipes just to see how bad the insides look and get them jetted out. I’m happy with the services from plumbing to HVAC.
My experience with Boothe's professional staff has been excellent. From my first interaction with C. Richardson to the installation completed by Brad and his assistant, every team member was knowledgeable, impressive, polite, and timely. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality service truly stood out. I'm confident in the work they've done and look forward to the next five years of maintaining my system with Boothe.
What people criticize
Prices are absurd. Over the past month I have gotten two estimates from Boothes (technicians and customer service is always fantastic and professional). With that being said, their prices are absolutely ridiculous. I was given an estimate of $4100 to replace a water heater and add an expansion tank. I got someone else to do it for $1500 and two other companies quoting 2,500 and 2,000. Fast forward after the hot water heater was replaced, we found a leak on the main shutoff valve. I called a couple companies again to get an estimate, one company quoted $700 and Boothes quoted $1700 to replace 2 feet of pipe and replace the shutoff valve. If I got all the supplies myself it would be $1K, so I am practically paying $3,000 for labor at the end of the day. Same goes for the shutoff valve and 2ish feet of pipe. A shutoff valve is $50. 2 feet of pipe would be $40-$75. In the end, I am all for companies making money and running a business, but these prices are a joke.. I would feel more respected if they gave honest and realistic prices to their customers. The technicians are always great, straight forward, but then they say the price and I can’t take them serious (which is a company issue not a technician issue). If you want nice customer service but want to pay an absorbent amount of money go for Boothes.
